This Pre-War (1896-1914) New Model frame Colt Replica has the original look with safety features built into the improved “Cowboy Comp” action. It does not have a transfer bar, like other replicas, but has a unique firing pin lever built into the 3 “click” hammer that will only fire the cartridge if your finger is on the trigger. This system allows you to carry 6 in the cylinder safely with the hammer down if you want, but you still carry only 5 in competition as required. This gun is finished in a dark blue with color case hardened frame and hammer. The one-piece smooth walnut grip has gold medallions inlaid for that authentic western look. The 5.5″ barrel has fixed sights with a half-moon style ejector rod and balances beautifully in your hand. Have some fun shooting in either caliber with the Model P Dual Cylinder!
